On Phoenix's Pride weekend, we will have two ways for you to celebrate. Come march with us in the Pride parade downtown (and make it on the big screen) or hear from some of our elders about why they are proud. Either way, you'll be moved and proud to be a part of UUCP.
Brace yourselves! This is an election year and we will be barraged by anxiety around our political system. Breaking news tries to do just that: break us. How do we ground ourselves in liberating love for the upheaval that is a regular part of our lives, and will be amplified even more this year.
What were you taught about your role in faith as a child? What messages do you get about your belonging as an elder? What are the implicit and explicit messages about who is welcome in a space and who isn't. In living out our mission to be radically inclusive, we'll be discussing the struggles, opportunities and gifts of having a multi-generational, multi-faith worship community.
Who and what we listen to is who and what we become. In a time of so much noise, we'll be tuning in to how deep listening is a gift for greater wholeness and transformative love.
We will delve into a transformative journey marked by a life altering heart attack and explore themes of the embracing lives uncertainties and releasing attachment to rigid outcomes. This story will serve as a poignant reminder at that our lives can emerge from challenges with a unique beauty this extends a heartfelt invitation to live with open hearts and cherish every precious moment.
