The islands in our parking lot have been filled with stones and succulents. The lighting has been upgraded in the islands and shortly at the entrances. These tasks significantly improve our ‘curb appeal ‘ and invite members and guests to UUCP.
For many Board members past and present, this is a promise fulfilled to our late Larry Reed – UUCP Treasurer. Larry helped us find the funding to maintain and enhance our building and grounds.
He passionately preached to repave the parking lot, which was completed and left crevices in the islands. The Board voted to fulfill Larry’s vision and the islands are now leveled and welcoming. As unassuming as Larry was, so are the islands that were promised.
