For me, committing to membership meant that I had agreed to support this organization with my time, talent, and treasure. In return, I would reap the benefits of deeper relationships with others in the group as well as fulfillment in performing meaningful tasks.
UUCP is an intentional community with a high degree of cohesion and teamwork, and we encourage you to consider the membership commitment and benefits carefully. We want you to know that you are welcome in our congregation as a friend, even if you are not an official member. But once you understand what being a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix means, we hope that you will be ready to become a member.
Joining us in membership is straightforward:
- Participate in a membership class or gathering or have a private meeting with our minister
- Make a financial pledge to support the congregation (you can do this via our Financial Pledge Form) or request a hardship waiver
- Sign the membership book (contact the Minister to arrange this)
If you are considering membership, we strongly encourage you to attend one of our membership classes, held approximately quarterly. These classes are announced in our weekly Compass email newsletter. And if you feel certain that you are ready to take the next step in developing a relationship with our community, we are ready to take that step with you.
You can use the form below to let us know that you are ready to join us, or to ask questions, and someone from our membership team will contact you.
