As UUs, we are called to share journeys and this is one of the most difficult journeys in life. Members of this group help the family decide what they want in terms of setting up the sanctuary or other area for a memorial service and how the reception should run. They serve as door greeters and ushers for the service, and they set up and put things away after the service.

Generally, 4 to 6 volunteers are involved in each memorial service. Because memorial services happen when the need arises, not every volunteer will be available for every service. The group does not meet other than when volunteers come together to support a memorial service.
