Asylum-seekers heading for cold climates continue to need gently used winter clothes, shoes, backpacks and tote bags. We will be in the upper UUCP parking lot again on January 16 from noon-2pm. Thanks to all the folks who brought winter clothes to UUCP last Sunday. We collected 10 big bags of winter clothes, plus 3 bags of other items. We took all of it to the Welcome Center on Monday morning, and within two hours, it was almost all given to grateful asylum-seekers heading for cold climates.
