Welcome new and returning volunteers and staff working with our vibrant teen community. We will cover the core values and principles of Unitarian Universalism and how they guide our teen programming. You’ll learn best practices for facilitating discussions, activities, and service projects that promote spiritual growth, ethical reflection, and community building. Safety protocols, including background checks, supervision guidelines, and emergency procedures, will be thoroughly reviewed to ensure the well-being of all participants.
Additionally, you’ll receive training on handling common challenges, such as behavioral issues and supporting the diverse needs of our teens. This orientation is also an opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and staff, share ideas, and build a cohesive team dedicated to making a positive impact on our teen members.
