The next UUCP Book Discussion Group meeting will be in Annex B at 9:00am on Sunday, March 17. The group will discuss Chapters 8 and 9 in The Written World: The Power of Stories to Shape People, History, and Civilization, by Martin Puchner.
Chapter 8 is about the existence of an alternate literature in Mayan culture and the defeat of the Mayan empire. Chapter 9 is about Don Quixote, struggling against modernization and establishing author’s rights.
