Booker T. Washington Child Development Center (BTW) invites to you to our first annual Spring Social on Sat. May 20 at our Adams Street facility. The event will include a VIP meet and greet, brunch hors d’oeuvres, mimosas, and student art for auction. Special guests will include Governor Katie Hobbs and Mayor Kate Gallego.
Booker T Washington Child Development Center is a nonprofit that opened its doors in 1967, now serving as the longest-running Head Start in the state of Arizona. BTW provides high quality early education to nearly 700 children and families in the greater Phoenix community.
UUCP has a long history with BTW, in fact lending them funds to help purchase their first property on Adams Street in 1968. UUCP members have been long term financial supporters and several have served on their board of directors.
The BTW Inaugural Spring Social will kick off an annual celebration of the center and a unique opportunity to showcase the institution’s development and accomplishments while raising funds to help support the students and families, provide additional learning materials and staff support as well as campus and learning enhancements.
