What My “America First” Education Never Taught Me

With the controversy surround the 1619 Project and critical race theory in schools, a recent public high school graduate sheds light on what is currently being taught in schools and, more importantly, what is not. So far, 21 state legislatures are attempting to pass bills banning critical race theory in schools. It is important that we know what is actually happening in the classroom and how we can make our students more aware of the issues that need to be addressed in our country.
