Lifespan Religious Education

Children's Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry provides community, ritual, education, worship, and service projects for children and their families.  We do this by following our Unitarian Universalist principles using language suitable for children:

1. Respect for all people.

2. Offer fair and kind treatment.

3. Yearn to learn throughout life.

4. Grow by exploring ideas together.

5. Believe in our ideas and act on them.

6. Insist on peace, freedom and justice for all.

7. Value our interdependence with nature.

Our Sunday School program serves children ages pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. To learn more about the individual classes and teachers please see our annual Program Catalog pages 20 - 25.

Would you like to receive weekly emails filled with news about upcoming Children’s Religious Education classes and special activities at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix?

You will receive one email each week (usually Wednesday) with highlights of our program and the coming week’s topics for each class.  You will also receive news about special events and opportunities in our congregation and community.  (This email list is not limited to parents/families, but is certainly geared toward them.)

Also, if you are the parent/family of a child or children who will be enrolled in our Children’s Ministry Program (Sunday School) this year, please be sure to complete the registration form.  You may turn your form and payment into the office, or to Anne Byrne, Director of Children’s Ministries.

Adult Faith Development

Our Adult Faith Development program includes classes, movie nights, and a book discussion group all developed to further our mission of “Welcoming all in building religious community, called to share journeys, grow in spirit, advance justice.”

To learn more about our current offerings please see our annual Program Catalog pages 15-19.  To get the most up to date notices about our Adult Faith Development offerings please be sure to sign up for our weekly e-newsletter the UUCP Compass which is emailed every Friday.   Click here to sign up.
