Pathway to Membership

Considering Membership?

• Are you curious to know more about UUCP and Unitarian Universalism?
• Would you like to meet other newcomers to the congregation and form some connections with potential and long-time members?
• Do you have questions about our Celebration of Life services, our Children's Ministry, or Faith Development programs for adults?
• Are you wondering how to get connected with our social justice efforts or other congregational programs and activities?
• Would you like to learn about the requirements and responsibilities of membership?

For these reasons and more, register for the next Pathway to Membership class!

Our Pathway to Membership (PTM) class is offered at least four times a year. The class currently consists of two parts. The first session takes
place on a Sunday morning and the second session is held the following Saturday evening. The Saturday get-together includes a potluck, a message
from the minister, and a joining ceremony for those who have decided to become members.

The next Pathway to Membership class will be held:

Sunday, August 1st, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. in the Johnson Room (coffee, juice, and light refreshments)

Saturday, August 7th, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Johnson Room (potluck dinner for class members, UUCP members)

You may also sign up at the "Returning Visitors" spot by the front door on a Sunday morning before or after the service. When registering, please be sure to tell us if you wish to make use of our free childcare services during the PTM class sessions. We will need to know the number/ages of your children in advance to make proper childcare arrangements.

PTM facilitators for August are already excited about the interest shown in our summer class. We're expecting a nice-sized group so it should be fun. We look forward to answering your questions and getting to know you better! FYI: This is an informational program that we offer as a step in our newcomers' exploratory process. There is no pressure to join. Becoming a
member is an important decision, so take your time. We are glad to have you be a part of our community during your discernment process, and we will
welcome you into membership if/when you decide UUCP membership is right for you.
